About The Position

The Medical Assistant Supervisor at Dakota Ridge plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of medical assistant activities within the healthcare facility. This position is responsible for overseeing the daily functions of the medical assistant team, ensuring that patient care and administrative tasks are executed with accuracy and compassion. The supervisor will coordinate appointment scheduling, manage workflow, and serve as a liaison between medical assistants, healthcare providers, and patients to optimize service delivery. Additionally, this role involves training, mentoring, and evaluating staff to maintain high standards of clinical and administrative performance. Requirements

  • Completion of a Medical Assisting program or equivalent (LPN, RN, EMT)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a medical assistant in a family, internal medicine or pediatrics clinic.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory or team lead experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Proficiency in medical appointment scheduling systems and electronic health records (EHR).
  • Strong knowledge of clinical procedures, patient care standards, and healthcare regulations.
  • The required skills of medical appointment scheduling and medical assistance are integral to the daily operations of this role, enabling the supervisor to effectively manage patient flow and clinical support activities.
  • Proficiency in appointment scheduling ensures that patient visits are organized efficiently, reducing wait times and optimizing provider schedules.
  • Medical assistance skills allow the supervisor to understand clinical workflows, support staff training, and maintain high standards of patient care.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential.
  • Associate degree or higher in Health Sciences or related field.
