About The Position

OU Health Physicians in Tulsa is hiring a Medical Assistant or Senior Medical Assistant for a community-based medicine practice combining compassionate care with academic excellence. The role supports patient-centered care and contributes to the education and mentorship of medical students and residents in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Pay is commensurate with experience. Benefits are available. The position does not require travel.

Requirements

Medical Assistant: High school diploma or GED, or completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
Medical Assistant: Six months of patient-care experience as a Medical Assistant, or six months performing electronic order entry as a qualified ABR-OE.
Medical Assistant: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
Medical Assistant: Certified Medical Assistant, Registered Medical Assistant, or qualified ABR-OE certification, or ability to obtain the certification within 90 days of employment in the position.
Senior Medical Assistant: High school diploma or GED, or completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
Senior Medical Assistant: 24 months of patient-care experience as a Medical Assistant, or 24 months performing electronic order entry as a qualified ABR-OE.
Senior Medical Assistant: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
Senior Medical Assistant: Certified Medical Assistant, Registered Medical Assistant, or qualified ABR-OE certification.

Nice To Haves

For the Medical Assistant role, a student who has completed an internship or externship and graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program may substitute for the required experience.
