About The Position

US Fertility has an immediate opening for a Medical Assistant to join RMA of New York. The role supports fertility patients and clinical teams through phlebotomy, specimen handling, patient documentation, front-desk activities, and assistance with procedures. The position offers the opportunity to grow within a nationally respected organization while working closely with patients and colleagues.

The schedule is Monday through Friday between 6:45 AM and 6:30 PM, plus every other weekend from 6:45 AM to 12:00 PM. A holiday rotation is included, with holiday shifts from 6:45 AM to 12:00 PM. Times are Eastern Time. Compensation is $20 to $21 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Requirements

• Strong phlebotomy skills.
• High school diploma.
• Computer proficiency.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and build and maintain effective working relationships.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of a certified or formal medical training program.
• At least 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-volume phlebotomy using proper technique and universal precautions.
• Set up, stock, and maintain supplies for blood-drawing stations.
• Ensure laboratory specimens are sent to the appropriate labs.
• Document patient care services using daily logs, electronic medical records, and applicable outside laboratory forms.
• Use a computer to enter laboratory information and print labels; ensure laboratory orders are in place.
• Check patients in and out, answer phones, schedule appointments, and collect payments.
• Prepare rooms for procedures; take vital signs and obtain patient height and weight; assist with procedures as needed.
• Clean and stock rooms and care for equipment according to manufacturer and OSHA guidelines.
• Maintain patient medical records using electronic medical records.
