About The Position

This role is for a Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant within the Neurology Medical Group at Glenbrook Hospital. The position is full-time, requiring 40 hours per week, with specific operating hours from Monday to Friday. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience required
• One year of work experience required
• CPR certification through the American Heart Association required

Nice To Haves

• Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred
• Medical Assistant Certification (AMT, AAMA, ARMA, CCMA, CMA, MAC, AMCA) is preferred
• Previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred

Responsibilities

• Answer phones
• Schedule appointments
• Collect co-payments
• Complete patient registration
• Provide other administrative support to the physician practice
• Check in and check out patients
• Verify insurances
• Greet patients and escort them to exam room
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for office visit
• Provide front office support as needed
• Perform basic vitals like BP, height and weight
• Phlebotomy and injections may be required
