This role involves providing exceptionally friendly customer service to every patient both in office and over the phone, managing the office phone system, following practice guidelines on clinical decision making, working with insurance companies, and following up with patients on test results. The position also requires assisting with miscellaneous tasks to ensure the practice is presentable.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Able to work on your feet for extended periods of time.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant training program preferred.
  • Experience with EMS preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides exceptionally friendly customer service to every patient both in office and over the phone.
  • Manages the office phone system: Answering phone calls from patients, pharmacies, caregivers etc, with questions regarding a patient’s clinical needs.
  • Follows practice guidelines on clinical decision making for proposing orders and messages to providers from patients.
  • Working with insurance companies, obtaining referrals, prior authorizations, etc.
  • Following up with patients on test results, post-procedure instructions, etc.
  • Assist with any miscellaneous tasks to ensure the practice is presentable to incoming patients.
