About The Position

A Certified Medical Assistant/LPN for Premier Health Physician Enterprise typically sees upwards of 30 patients per day and is responsible for general clinical and procedural patient care under the supervision of the Practice Manager and/or center physicians/providers. The role is an integral part of the office and supports delivery of a high-quality patient experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent certificate.
• Be a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN and have graduated from a recognized Medical Assistant or LPN program.
• Ability to learn related center tasks and assist management and physicians.
• Self-motivation to achieve high patient care and customer service standards.
• Obtain CPR certification within the first three months of employment.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding.
• Thorough understanding of HIPAA law.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in an ambulatory health care facility.
• Familiarity with the EPIC EMR.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and collect vital signs.
• Abstract and chart patient information.
• Relay instructions to patients.
• Directly schedule and recall patients.
• Schedule appointments and endoscopy procedures.
• Set up instruments for procedures.
• Clean examination and procedure rooms to maintain infection control.
• Order and stock clinical inventory supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain attention to detail and excellent documentation.
