About The Position

Moosehaven is seeking a Full-time Medical Assistant/Office professional to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. This role is an integral part of our TEAM and will contribute to the smooth operation of our beautiful 67-acre resort-style retirement community located on the banks of the St. John's river in Orange Park, Florida. Moosehaven has a long-standing history of caring for seniors for over 100 years, fostering a supportive environment with many long-term staff members. Requirements

• Ability to use Microsoft Office and Outlook

• Familiarity with medical records systems
• Experience with appointment scheduling
• Experience with EKG procedures
• Experience with phlebotomy and lab work
• Experience with resident intake and vital signs

Responsibilities

• Greet residents at the front desk
• Answer and forward phone calls
• Order supplies and manage inventory
• Handle vision and dental approvals
• Cross-train to cover Pharmacy duties
• Cross-train to cover Medical Records duties
• Cross-train for scheduling appointments
• Provide backup support for EKG procedures
• Provide backup support for phlebotomy and lab work
• Provide backup support for resident intake and vital signs
• Manage and transfer information to other medical offices as needed
• Perform general office functions
• Assist the Director with office tasks and other duties
• Assist the Physician with office tasks
• Perform other duties as assigned
