About The Position

We are currently seeking a Full-Time Occupational Health - Medical Assistant for our Kalmia location. This position is responsible for performing a wide variety of Occupational Health patient care duties which include assisting in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Duties include but not limited to: Interviewing patients, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight and height), Mask fit testing, Urine Specimen drug screens, venipuncture and procedure as directed by the physician within the scope of practice in the State. Perform clinical duties related to Occupational Health and Workers Compensation patients. Ensure documentation is recorded in the Electronic Medical Record in accordance with IPM guideline. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients. Must attend mandatory meetings. Work schedule is Monday - Friday from 8:00am - 4:30pm. Schedule may change based on business needs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Medical Assistant Certificate of Completion and one year experience as a Medical Assistant
  • Familiarity with medical terminology required
  • Experience with patient check-in and check-out process (according to clinic protocol)
  • General medical office procedures
  • Understand end of day cash balancing and charge reconciliation process (according to clinic protocol)
  • Current BLS/CPR certification required
  • Current CA Drivers License required

Nice To Haves

  • Must obtained a Medical Assistant certification from an accredited institution within six (6) months of employment
