MEDICAL ASSISTANT / MEDICAL ASSISTANT SR, NEMS - HFM PREPARE CLINIC
About The Position
The Medical Assistant (MA/MA Sr) is a healthcare professional and an essential member of the patient-centered healthcare team. The MA/MA Sr helps patients feel at ease while collaborating with the provider throughout the patient's visit. This is an on-site position at Froedtert Holy Family Memorial Hospital in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, with a 0.5 FTE and 20 standard hours. The role is listed for Shift 1. The position requires maintaining Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, remaining compliant with organizational educational, licensure, and certification requirements, and cross-training or floating as needed to provide services across sites and maintain optimal clinic operations. A $2,500 sign-on bonus is noted as eligible. The Medical Assistant Career Ladder is available to support career growth. Requirements
- Medical Assistant: High school diploma or GED required.
- Medical Assistant: Completion of an MA program, completion of an EMT-Basic course, on-the-job MA training with one year of healthcare experience, or completion of an MA Apprentice program is required.
- Medical Assistant: American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification, or an AHA-approved equivalent, is required within 90 days of hire.
- Medical Assistant Senior: High school diploma or GED required.
- Medical Assistant Senior: American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification, or an AHA-approved equivalent, is required within 90 days of hire.
- Medical Assistant Senior: One of the following is required: military medic/corpsman training (with an applicable certification or license obtained within six months of hire); an accepted medical assistant credential; certified paramedic; advanced EMT; graduation from an accredited LPN program with an active LPN license; or another certification from an approved body maintained by Froedtert Human Resources.
- Medical Assistant Senior: One year of experience as a medical assistant or in the field of the credential held is required.
- Remain compliant with organizational educational, licensure, and certification requirements.
