Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, offering a wide range of care options. The Medical Assistant III will perform and oversee clinical activities, including maintaining patient flow, assisting with primary and preventative healthcare delivery, performing technical procedures, and adhering to lab protocols under physician/provider direction. This role supports management in achieving office efficiencies and promoting customer satisfaction through the "Service First" philosophy. The Medical Assistant III acts as an assistant to physicians/providers, manages patient care, collaborates with clerical staff for optimal operations, and interacts with external healthcare facilities. Excellent customer service skills and support for patient and family-centered care are essential. Additionally, Medical Assistant IIIs are formally assigned two primary responsibilities that constitute at least 20% of their dedicated time, chosen from a list including gap in care identification, residency clinic roles, high-level disinfection, new hire preceptor duties, participation in special programs, care management, qualified language interpretation, EPIC Super User, or advanced provider support for complex procedures/scheduling. A flexible float pool assignment across multiple sites is also a possibility.
