About The Position

Baptist Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant II for their Lyerly Neurosurgery office in Downtown Jacksonville. This is a Full-Time opportunity where the candidate will assist one provider with Medical Assistant tasks. The candidate will cross-train and must possess good customer service skills. Requirements

• 3-5 years Patient Care Experience
• Experience in Physician's office
• High School Diploma/GED Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Certified Medical Assistant Required
• Must be trainable
• Must have good customer service skills

Nice To Haves

• Neurosurgery experience is not necessary
• Associate of Arts/Science Preferred

Responsibilities

• Provides medical assistance to physician
• Obtains vital signs
• Greets and chaperones patients during medical visit
• Maintains medical documentation
• Schedules care, treatment, diagnostic tests per physician
• Processes prescription requests and referrals
• Additional responsibilities may be required based upon office needs
