About The Position

Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, offering a wide range of care options. The Medical Assistant II will perform and oversee clinical activities, including maintaining patient flow, assisting with primary and preventative healthcare delivery, performing technical procedures, and adhering to lab protocols under physician/provider direction. This role also involves assisting management in achieving office efficiencies to ensure smooth operations, supporting physicians, clinic staff, and management with a focus on the "Service First" philosophy to enhance customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited MA program, including clinical rotation, or equivalent experience
  • 6 months of relevant experience
  • Six (6) months MA work experience or a completed Beaumont MA internship is required.
  • 2-3 years of MA experience.
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 30 days from hire Or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 30 days from hire required
  • CRT-Medical Assistant, Certified (CMA) - AAMA American Association of Medical Assistants within 90 Days required Or CRT-Medical Assistant, Registered (RMA) - AMT American Medical Technologists within 90 Days required Or CRT-Medical Assistant, American Registry (ARMA) - ARMA American Medical Technologists within 90 Days required Or CRT-Medical Assistant, Certified (NCMA) - NCCT National Center for Competency Testing within 90 Days required Or CRT-Medical Assistant, Certified (CCMA) - NHA National HealthCareer Association within 90 Days required Or CRT-Medical Assistant, Certified (NRCMA) - NAHP National Association for Health Professionals within 90 Days required Or LIC-License Practical Nursing (LPN) - State of Michigan upon hire required
