Medical Assistant II, Urgent Care
About The Position
Provides clinical and clerical support to providers and members of patient care teams by performing back-office, patient-related, and phlebotomy tasks in support of high-quality patient care. Helps ensure smooth patient and workflow within the department and assists the patient care team in implementing the medical plan of care. Performs phlebotomy and specimen-handling laboratory procedures within the scope of practice, preserving specimen integrity. Uses education, technical competence, and patient interaction skills to gain the confidence and cooperation of patients, their families or support groups, and other healthcare providers.
Responsibilities
