About The Position

This role provides nursing assistance to physicians, obtains vital signs, greets and chaperones patients during medical visits, and is responsible for telephone triage and patient education. The Medical Assistant II also maintains medical documentation, schedules care, treatment, and diagnostic tests as directed by the physician, and processes CLIA waived tests, prescription requests, and referrals. Cross-training in front office, referrals area, and other areas is also part of the role. Requirements
- Medical Assistant II certification or equivalent experience.
- Experience in obtaining vital signs.
- Experience in telephone triage and patient education.
- Proficiency in maintaining medical documentation.
- Ability to schedule care, treatment, and diagnostic tests.
- Experience processing CLIA waived tests, prescription requests, and referrals.
- Willingness to cross-train in front office and referrals areas.
