About The Position
Baptist Health, recognized as a top place to work in healthcare, is seeking a Medical Assistant II for the AgeWell House Calls Department in Jacksonville, Florida, focusing on the Northside territory. This is a full-time opportunity where the Medical Assistant will travel to patients' homes to provide care. The AgeWell Department serves patients aged 65+ and is experiencing rapid growth. The Medical Assistant II will also cross-train as front office staff to provide support as needed. This position requires a candidate with a CMA license, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and flexibility. Requirements
- Over 5 years Patient Care Experience
- Experience in Physician's office
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
- Strong communication skills
- Interpersonal skills
- Flexibility

Responsibilities
- Provides nursing assistance to physician.
- Obtains vital signs.
- Greets and chaperones patients during medical visit.
- Responsible for telephone triage and patient education.
- Maintains medical documentation.
- Schedules care, treatment, and diagnostic tests, per physician.
- Processes CLIA waived tests, prescription requests, and referrals.
- Cross trains in front office, referrals area, and other areas.
