About The Position

Third Street Family Health Services is seeking a Medical Assistant I to join its Primary Care Team. The role works closely with medical and behavioral health providers to build rapport with patients and provide optimal care in a care team environment. The Medical Assistant supports patient access, patient flow, clinical care, and continuity of care while helping create a positive patient experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS); required within the first 90 days.

Nice To Haves

• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic patient check-in and check-out functions, including verifying and updating demographic and insurance information as operationally needed.
• Welcome patients, prepare them for appointments, and communicate pertinent information to the care team.
• Obtain vital signs, collect specimens, assist providers with examinations and procedures, and maintain clinical rooms, equipment, and supplies.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and assist with basic patient access and care coordination activities.
• Collaborate with providers and other care team members to support efficient patient flow and a positive patient experience.
