About The Position

ChristianaCare's Medical Advantage at Milford is seeking a professional, dependable, detail-oriented Medical Assistant I with strong communication, integrity, and solid technical and clinical skills. As a Medical Assistant I, you support physicians in virtual and on-site patient care, performing essential clinical and clerical duties to ensure quality care. Our My65+ team provides personalized, comprehensive care tailored to the unique needs of older adults. Patients receive coordinated, proactive healthcare from dedicated professionals committed to helping them live healthier, more independent lives. Services Include: Annual Medicare Wellness Visits, Chronic Disease Management, Medication Review and Management, Coordination of Care with Specialists.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or GED required.
  • A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).

Responsibilities

  • The Medical Assistant I greets and supports patients virtually and in person, prepares them for visits, performs basic clinical tasks (e.g., testing, injections, EKGs), assists with exams, and maintains exam rooms and equipment.
  • They manage EMR updates, patient communications, referrals, authorizations, and scheduling, while handling clerical duties, troubleshooting video visits, and supporting patient portal access.
