About The Position

Christiana Care Primary Care at Greenville is seeking a professional, dependable, detail-oriented Medical Assistant I with strong communication, integrity, and solid technical and clinical skills. As a Medical Assistant I, you will assist physicians during the examination and treatment of patients, whether through virtual or on-site appointments. This role is crucial for delivering quality patient care and encompasses various clinical and clerical duties within medical practice.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).

Responsibilities

• Greets and supports patients virtually and in person.
• Prepares patients for visits.
• Performs basic clinical tasks (e.g., testing, injections, EKGs).
• Assists with exams.
• Maintains exam rooms and equipment.
• Manages EMR updates, patient communications, referrals, authorizations, and scheduling.
• Handles clerical duties.
• Troubleshoots video visits.
• Supports patient portal access.
