About The Position

Corewell Health Outpatient Clinics operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, offering a wide range of care options. With over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, employees have the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or specialize in a specific area. As a Medical Assistant with Corewell Health, you will be a vital member of the clinical support team, working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of the best possible patient care. Under the direction of management and physician leadership, you will perform and oversee functions within your scope of practice related to clinical activities. This includes maintaining patient flow, assisting in the delivery of healthcare, and performing technical procedures and clinically oriented activities. You will also assist management in achieving office efficiencies in accordance with stated policies and procedures, focusing on supporting physicians, clinical staff, and management to promote customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Successful completion of a competency-based Medical Assistant training program
• May also have LPN, EMT, ER Tech, paramedic certification and relevant experience
• May consider a nursing student from an accredited registered or licensed practice nurse program after a clinical course of study has begun
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association within 30 days
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross within 30 days

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of relevant experience
• Working in a physician practice or healthcare setting
