About The Position

Corewell Health Outpatient Clinics operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, offering a variety of care options. With over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, employees have the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or specialize in a specific area. As a Medical Assistant with Corewell Health, you will be a vital member of the clinical support team, working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of the best possible patient care. Under the direction of management and physician leadership, you will perform and oversee clinical activities, including maintaining patient flow, assisting in healthcare delivery, and performing technical procedures. You will also assist management in achieving office efficiencies and ensuring smooth operations, with a focus on supporting physicians, clinical staff, and management to promote customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Successful completion of a competency-based Medical Assistant training program
• May also have LPN, EMT, ER Tech, paramedic certification and relevant experience
• May consider a nursing student from an accredited registered or licensed practice nurse program after a clinical course of study has begun
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association within 30 days
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross within 30 days

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of relevant experience
• Working in a physician practice or healthcare setting

Responsibilities
