About The Position

Weil Foot & Ankle is seeking a dependable, patient-focused full-time Medical Assistant Float to support physicians and clinical teams in delivering high-quality patient care. Based out of the Oak Park office, the employee will travel daily to the designated office where the physician is seeing patients. Additional local travel to other locations within the assigned geographic region may be required. The role requires flexibility to work across designated practice locations according to physician schedules and operational needs. The position reports to the Practice Operations Manager.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Experience using electronic health records.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Commitment to continuous performance improvement.
Patient-focused, with the ability to work independently.
Ability to adapt quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to travel daily to designated practice locations and potentially to other locations within the assigned geographic region.

Nice To Haves

Two years in a healthcare position desired.

Responsibilities

Interview patients to gather medical history and update medical records.
Gather basic vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, height, weight, and pulse.
Prepare treatment rooms and patients for examinations.
Sterilize instruments and set up in-office procedure trays.
Manage medical supplies and materials and work with the operational leader to order necessary inventory.
Take x-rays.
Perform administrative tasks and become cross-trained on front desk responsibilities to provide support when needed.
Support the physician and team with other patient care activities.
