About The Position

At Clinical Associates, we make being healthy easier. We connect our patients to a seamless system of integrated medical care, which includes in-house specialists in areas of practice, from cardiology to podiatry. We also offer unique services like our nuclear stress testing facility. Our physicians, specialists and credentialed health care providers are assisted by 175 trained support staff. We do our best to take care of everything for our patients – records, scheduling appointments, coordinating with providers and specialists, and each of our offices has laboratory centers for tests and blood work on site. We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our Endocrinology team! Candidate must be willing to travel to our Woodholme (Pikesville - Exit 20 off 695) and Towson (Exit 27 off 695) offices for clinic hours. Experience in Endocrinology is a plus, but we will consider Internal Medicine / Primary Care experience. Schedule: Monday - Friday / Must be available to work 8:00am - 4:30pm The Medical Assistant will work closely with one of our healthcare providers in a multi-specialty setting. Full Time candidates with proven EHR experience will have hands-on responsibilities with patients in a healthcare setting that offers enrichment and an opportunity for growth. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for providing a positive, supportive, nurturing, yet professional experience whether triaging calls, rooming patients and assisting during an office visit, or providing follow-up to patients and/or families.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Current registration/certification with an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • EMR Experience (Nextgen is a plus)!
  • Excellent patient care and customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Endocrinology
  • Internal Medicine / Primary Care experience
  • Registered Nationally as a Medical Assistant
  • Completed an accredited Medical Assistant training program (will work with eligible candidates to get registered within 90 days of hire)
  • Proven EHR experience

Responsibilities

  • Assistance during routine exams
  • Recording a patient history and logging vital signs.
  • Obtaining and tracking authorizations and test results
  • Entering lab / diagnostic test orders
  • Assisting patients with CGM devices
  • Scheduling appointments, procedures, or imaging
