About The Position

As a Clinical Support Associate, you’ll work side-by-side with family medicine physicians, behavioral health specialists, rehabilitation therapists, and other allied health professionals to provide compassionate, efficient, and coordinated care. Our modern clinic offers in-house imaging and laboratory services, giving you the tools and resources to support providers and ensure a seamless experience for patients. You’ll play a key role in rooming patients, obtaining vitals, assisting with procedures, managing documentation, and reinforcing patient education. Requirements

  • Current licensure or certification (i.e. Certified Medical Assistant, EMT License, LPN License, etc) or 3-5 years of relevant clinical experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of Medical Assistant, EMT, LPN, or other equivalent clinical training program.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare exam rooms, room patients according to PHMG workflows, obtain vitals, review medical history, verify medications/allergies, and provide provider-directed after-visit instructions.
  • Assist with procedures, prepare and administer medications/vaccinations, perform therapeutic treatments and health screenings, collect and process specimens, and conduct point-of-care testing while maintaining CLIA compliance.
  • Accurately document patient information in the EMR, handle patient calls per HIPAA guidelines, relay test results under provider direction, and coordinate prescription refills, prior authorizations, and pharmacy communications.
  • Maintain clean and stocked exam rooms, manage clinic supplies and medications, prepare instruments for sterilization, and respond to urgent or emergent situations following established protocols.
  • Support clinic operations through tasks such as ordering supplies, precepting students/new staff, serving as an Epic super-user, and floating to other PHMG locations as needed.
