About The Position
Join ProHealth Care’s Waukesha South Clinic on Big Bend Road and support our Family Medicine team. In this role, you’ll work closely with Raelee Penzi, PA. Her philosophy of care emphasizes listening, answering questions, and building collaborative care plans with patients. She works on a care team with Steven Klemish, MD and Margo Sherman, MD to coordinate services and deliver personalized care. This role provides direct care to patients under the supervision and delegation of the Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant or Physician within ProHealth Medical Group. Provides care in partnership with the patient and their family, with the goal of supporting an optimal healing community.
Requirements
- BLS / CPR
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of Medical Assistant, EMT, LPN or other equivalent clinical training program
Nice To Haves
- 1 to 3 years preferred
Responsibilities
- Room patients, take vitals, and prepare patients for provider visits
- Support phone messages/in-basket tasks and patient follow-up
- Assist with point-of-care testing and procedures within scope/training
- Maintain accurate documentation and support day-to-day clinic flow
- Efficiently prepare exam rooms by setting up proper equipment and supplies, following standard rooming workflows to prepare patients for provider exams, obtaining vital signs, health history verification, and ensuring accurate documentation in the EMR
- Clean exam rooms after each patient visit and maintain sufficient stock of supplies.
- Answer patient calls, obtain medical information, report test results, administer medications and vaccinations, prepare sterile fields, and assist with procedures as directed by providers.
- Perform therapeutic treatments, health screenings, specimen collection, Point of Care testing, and assist with splints or wound care under supervision.
- Respond to urgent situations, call for clinical assistance as needed, and assist in maintaining clinic medications, vaccinations, supplies, and equipment.
- Float to other departments or clinic locations as assigned by PHMG Leadership.
