About The Position

Join The Oregon Clinic as a full-time Credentialed Medical Assistant in our OBGYN clinic in North Portland. Work with a collaborative team of patient-focused colleagues and physicians. The primary duties involve supporting medical staff by collecting information, escorting patients, preparing them for examination, assisting with procedures and tests, scheduling appointments, maintaining a clean environment, utilizing EMR for prescriptions and results, updating records, and assisting with overall patient care delivery. The role may involve cross-training in multiple areas or additional clinic duties.

Requirements

• Minimum of one (2) years of previous experience as a Medical Assistant is strongly preferred.
• Certification through a national agency such as AAMA, NCCT, etc. is strongly preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS within 60 days of hire.
• ACLS may be required by specialty.
• Prior Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience is strongly preferred.
• EPIC experience is a plus!
• Excellent attendance and work ethic.
• Positive attitude and desire to be a team player.
• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians, and other team members.
• A commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Medical Assistant (float) support in clinic.
• Supporting a variety of providers as needed.
• Covering call outs/PTO and supporting team in the day (cover breaks/lunches).
• Admin support when not covering a provider.
• Assisting the medical staff by collecting information, escorting patients to exam rooms, and preparing patients for examination.
• Assisting with procedures and performing related tests/monitoring.
• Scheduling appointments for new and established patients as needed.
• Maintains a comfortable, orderly, safe, and clean environment.
• Utilizes EMR to process prescriptions, retrieve test results, and patient files.
• Update records as needed.
• Cross-trained in multiple areas and/or assigned additional clinic duties.
• Assisting with the overall delivery of patient care in the department.
• Other duties as assigned.
