This role works directly with Ophthalmologists and Optometrists to deliver high‑quality patient care in a specialty clinical setting. No prior ophthalmology experience is required—we provide a comprehensive, hands‑on training program. As an Ophthalmic Technician, the MA‑C supports patient visits by obtaining and documenting medical histories, updating medication lists, performing ophthalmic diagnostic testing and imaging, assisting with in‑office procedures (including injections and lasers), providing patient education, and cleaning and processing ophthalmic instruments. This position provides a unique opportunity for a MA‑C who enjoys learning specialized skills, working closely with providers, and building long‑term patient relationships in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment. The Medical Assistant Certified will assist the provider and health care team in providing excellent customer service and quality patient care by performing a variety of clerical and patient-related tasks. Duties may include but are not limited to: injections, measuring patient vital signs (weight, height, blood pressure, pulse, respirations, and temperature), managing rooming and patient flow, pre-visit preparation, assist with the patient visit, post-visit duties, informing the provider of schedule changes that impact patient flow. May assist with front office activities, scheduling tasks and reporting test results as directed by the provider.
