About The Position
Synergy Orthopedic Specialists Medical Group is one of the largest and most comprehensive medical groups in San Diego County, recognized for excellence in patient satisfaction and clinical care. The group offers integrated services including orthopedics, radiology, physical therapy, and podiatry. The Medical Assistant - Athletic Trainer supports providers and patients in the exam room and helps with clinical care, procedures, records, referrals, orders, and front-office tasks.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of Medical Assistant or ATC experience.
- Current CPR/BLS card.
- Basic computer skills.
Nice To Haves
- Orthopedic experience is recommended but not required.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients with a smile.
- Assist providers with patients in exam rooms.
- Enter vitals, patient history, and other medical information in the EMR.
- Perform data entry.
- Provide patient care as instructed by the provider.
- Assist providers with procedures.
- Remove sutures and/or stitches.
- Apply and remove braces and splints.
- Stock and clean exam rooms.
- Submit referrals.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Office Manager.
- Obtain medical records from imaging centers.
- Complete orders and forms and send prescriptions.
- Schedule appointments, answer phones, and respond to emails.
