About The Position
CoxHealth offers a unique, hands-on, paid training program that provides free tuition to students enrolled in the OTC Medical Assistant Program. Upon acceptance, students will commit to a work agreement to serve Full Time within CoxHealth Clinics for two and a half years. This program includes a 16-week accelerated, in-person course that combines OTC classroom instruction with clinical rotations across various Springfield, Branson, and rural clinics. During these rotations, students will gain practical experience by observing preceptors and performing hands-on tasks under their guidance, preparing them for a Medical Assistant role upon graduation. Successful graduates will earn an MA certification and qualify for Medical Assistant III positions at CoxHealth. Prior to program completion, graduates will apply and interview for open Medical Assistant positions within CoxHealth Clinics.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proficient in basic math, computer, and English skills
- Exhibits positive customer service skills

- 1 year of medical field experience
Responsibilities
