About The Position

Northbridge University is seeking a Medical Assistant Adjunct Instructor for its Medical Assistant Technician Diploma Program. This program is designed to equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills for entry-level employment as medical assistant technicians. The curriculum includes classroom learning and supervised clinical practice or a capstone project, covering patient preparation for technical examinations like EKGs and phlebotomy, as well as performing these procedures.

Requirements

  • An Associate Degree or higher.
  • Current valid Medical Assistant Certification: RMA, CMA, or NCMA Required.
  • A combination of work experience and/or required credentials in the field they will be teaching.
  • Minimum of 3 years of successful teaching experience at the college level; preferably in the proprietary school setting.
  • A minimum of 3 years of work experience in the field.
  • Exceptional computer skills using Microsoft Office applications, Adobe.
  • Familiarity with information systems.
  • Ability to deliver the course using diverse resources.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Current Florida Certified Medical Assistant (BMO) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare students for entry-level employment as medical assistant technicians.
  • Teach students the necessary knowledge and skills in the classroom.
  • Oversee supervised clinical practice or capstone projects.
  • Instruct students on preparing patients for technical examinations (e.g., EKGs, phlebotomy).
  • Instruct students on performing technical procedures (e.g., EKGs, phlebotomy).
