Airlift Northwest is seeking a Medical Airlift Communications Supervisor for its Communications Center. This role involves supervising a team of medical airlift communications specialists who coordinate air/ground transport for emergency medical care. The supervisor will ensure the triage of local and interstate medical flights, ground transport, and medical team confirmation. Key responsibilities include training new employees, assigning and scheduling work, managing leave requests, conducting performance evaluations, and recommending disciplinary actions. The position also assists the Manager with budgets, scheduling, and payroll, and plays a role in developing and implementing policies and procedures for the Communications Center. Ensuring the accuracy of patient registrations, hospital admissions, and discharges, investigating complaints, and monitoring staff compliance with regulations like HIPAA and billing requirements are also crucial. The supervisor will support quality improvement activities and routinely fill in during staffing shortages.
