About The Position

The Medical Administration Specialist (PEBLO) provides administrative and clerical support to the Medical Evaluation Board (MEB), Physical Evaluation Board Liaison Officer (PEBLO), and related disability evaluation programs. This role supports the Integrated Disability Evaluation System (IDES) by assisting service members, coordinating medical board processes, and maintaining accurate records. The position also provides general administrative assistance to outpatient medical and dental clinics.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Medical Evaluation Board (MEB) and Physical Evaluation Board Liaison Officer (PEBLO) staff.
  • Assist with the execution of Temporary Disability Evaluation Board (TDEB) and Permanent Disability Evaluation Board (PDEB) processes.
  • Support Limited Duty (LIMDU) boards located at JBPHH NHCH.
  • Provide information and guidance to Active‑Duty service members, clinic staff, and local/remote commands regarding disability evaluation and administrative processes.
  • Assist patients with scheduling and appointment coordination.
  • Provide clerical support to Branch Health and Dental outpatient clinics.
  • Schedule appointments in government systems including: CHCS (Composite Health Care System) MHS GENESIS DENTRIX (dental appointments)
  • Call patients to schedule, reschedule, or cancel medical, specialty, subspecialty, or referral appointments within the MTF.
  • Serve as a medical records technician for inpatient, outpatient, or ambulatory procedure unit (APU) records.
  • Maintain, retrieve, and file medical documentation according to regulatory, accreditation, and facility standards.
  • Compile and extract medical records data to ensure compliance with applicable guidelines.
