About The Position
RK&K is currently hiring a Media Technology Specialist in Baltimore, MD. The Media Technology Specialist is responsible for coordinating and supporting the logistics of meetings and events. This position involves ensuring that all aspects of meetings run smoothly, from planning and setup to execution and follow-up. Occasional travel to RK&K office locations may be required to support conference room setup, meeting technology, and event logistics.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three (3)+ years of experience working in meeting support
- Shure microphone systems, Microsoft Teams Meetings, Zoom conferencing platforms, Poly Lens device management, MTRoW (Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows), Mersive collaboration solutions, Poly X50/X70 video bars, Logitech Meetup conference systems, and Crestron room scheduling panels
- Strong organizational and multitasking ability
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic proficiency with office software (e.g., Microsoft Office) and virtual meeting platforms (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams)
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Nice To Haves
- Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) or similar certification
- Associate degree in IT, Event Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Previous experience in meeting support, administrative support, or a related role
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and organizing meetings, including scheduling, sending invitations, and managing RSVPs
- Arrange meeting spaces, set up audio-visual equipment, and ensure all necessary materials are available
- Provide basic technical support for virtual and in-person meetings, including troubleshooting audio-visual issues
- Serve as the point of contact for meeting participants, addressing any questions or concerns
- Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, minutes, and other relevant documents
- Assist in post-meeting activities, such as collecting feedback and summarizing key takeaways
- Liaise with external vendors and service providers as needed for equipment rental, and other services
