The Media Specialist works closely with our Media Buyers to support the planning, execution, and reconciliation of advertising campaigns across traditional and digital media channels. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, dependable, and motivated by accuracy and follow-through. This position is in-office at our Baton Rouge headquarters.

Requirements

  • This is a detail media operations position for someone who enjoys working with numbers, invoices, spreadsheets, and data.
  • A significant part of this role involves matching and reconciling media invoices, entering and verifying information, identifying discrepancies, and maintaining accurate media records.
  • The ideal candidate is dependable, highly organized, comfortable with detail-oriented work, and enjoys working in an office environment as part of a team.
  • This is not an entry-level advertising agency position. We are looking for someone with professional office experience who can step into a fast-paced agency environment and take ownership of detailed media support responsibilities.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of professional office experience in an administrative, accounting, billing, bookkeeping, media, or similar detail-oriented role
  • Strong data entry skills with a high degree of speed and accuracy
  • Comfortable working with invoices, numbers, spreadsheets, budgets, and detailed financial information
  • Ability to match invoices against orders, identify discrepancies, and follow through until issues are resolved
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort learning specialized software systems
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to catch errors and inconsistencies
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage recurring monthly deadlines
  • Dependable, consistent, and comfortable performing routine, process-driven work
  • Ability to work independently while also supporting Media Buyers and other members of the media team
  • Strong communication skills
  • Comfortable working in-office at our Baton Rouge headquarters
  • College degree or equivalent professional experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Strata/SBMS or other media buying and billing software
  • Experience in an advertising agency, media company, broadcast station, cable company, or other media environment
  • Automotive working knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with media vendors
  • Update and manage client media budgets with accuracy and consistency
  • Support advertising campaigns across video, audio, print, and outdoor media
  • Monitor media schedules daily for changes, preemptions, revisions, and makegoods
  • Reconcile traditional media invoices and ensure proper documentation
  • Track details across multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously
  • Stay informed on media trends and industry best practices
