About The Position

Whiting-Turner is seeking an aspiring design graduate in the third or fourth year of a college program to join its media design and marketing professionals in support of the firm’s business development efforts. The role is based in the Washington, DC Metro Area, including offices in College Park, Maryland; Arlington, Virginia; and Herndon, Virginia. The ideal candidate has coursework knowledge and experience in both print and digital media.

The intern will support media designers and marketers with brand identity, project pursuit and active project support, sponsorship advertising, communications design, video production, photo archive management, and internal projects. The successful candidate must be working toward a bachelor’s degree in graphic design or a related field and be proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud.

Requirements

• Be in the process of achieving a bachelor’s degree in graphic design or a related field.
• Be proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Have course knowledge and experience in both print and digital media.

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain brand identity.
• Support project pursuit efforts by designing qualifications and proposal templates, developing project-specific graphics, and assisting marketers with design.
• Support active projects through photography and videography, site signage, and miscellaneous jobsite items.
• Design sponsorship advertisements.
• Create miscellaneous communications designs.
• Film, edit, and finalize videos.
• Manage and maintain the photo archive.
• Provide support for internal projects.
