About The Position

Founder's House of Hope is an assisted living facility for adults ages 18–59 in Artesia, California. The facility is seeking a compassionate and dependable Medication Technician to support adults with mental illness in a fast-paced environment. This is a part-time NOC position scheduled Sunday and Monday from 11:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. Full-time and part-time positions are also available in various shifts.

Requirements

• Able to pass the DOJ/FBI Live Scan criminal background clearance required by licensing.
• Able to pass a pre-employment physical and TB test clearance.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in caregiving and medication administration is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist with residents’ self-administration of medications according to doctors’ orders and the MAR.
• Accurately document medication administration, including PRN medications, on the MAR.
• Assist caregivers with daily assignments and help ensure residents receive assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Communicate clearly, calmly, and effectively with residents, families, and the Wellness Coordinator about changes or resident concerns.
• Complete outstanding daily paperwork, including filing and maintaining medication logs and centrally stored records.
• Order, receive, and inventory supplies and medications; ensure supplies are available and keep the medication cart orderly and clean.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Administration.
