About The Position

The Med Surg Nurse is a Registered Nurse responsible for delivering high-quality, individualized patient care according to each patient’s physician orders. The role includes assessing patients, performing skilled procedures, implementing care plans, administering medications and treatments, and educating patients and their families about prevention and healthy habits. The nurse works collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and an interdisciplinary team to support optimal patient outcomes in a compassionate care environment.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license allowing practice in the state.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• At least 1 year of RN experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to effectively educate patients and their families.

Nice To Haves

• Specialty certification, such as CCRN, CNOR, or CEN.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients’ conditions and assess their needs.
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to develop individualized patient care plans.
• Administer medications and provide treatments according to physicians’ orders.
• Provide individualized, comprehensive care, perform skilled procedures, and implement patient care plans.
