About The Position

ASML is seeking a Mechatronics / Robotics Design Engineer for its Wilton, Connecticut development location. The engineer specifies, designs, develops, realizes, integrates, and tests modules and tools as part of a multidisciplinary team, working with cross-functional partners and suppliers. The role delivers solutions within system specifications, cost targets, and project schedules, and provides mechatronics expertise throughout the product life cycle, from concept feasibility and new product introduction through product sustainment and customer-facing problem resolution. The position focuses on mechatronics and control systems for advanced lithography-tool modules, including precision handling of delicate parts, product and system integration, and software functionality. Work includes custom mechatronics and industrial robotics integration, motion and control systems, testing and qualification, and sustaining engineering. The engineer contributes to design and analysis with increasing independence and guidance from senior engineers, and supports the development of competitive, achievable, serviceable products. The role is based onsite, with a flexible arrangement allowing remote work up to two days per week. Access to controlled technology is required; candidates must be legally authorized to access it before beginning work. The position may involve domestic or international travel depending on business needs and potential exposure to strong magnetic fields, high voltage, and currents.
