About The Position
Fluidstack is seeking a Mechanical Utilities Engineer to design and engineer behind-the-meter plants, focusing on fuel gas, water, compressed air, and balance-of-plant systems. The role involves designing these systems for fast build and long life, integrating utilities across campus, and managing vendor and EPC interfaces. Requirements
- Engineered balance-of-plant or utility systems for power generation or heavy industry.
- Designed fuel gas systems and know the codes that govern them.
- Integrated packaged equipment into functioning plant.
- Catch interface gaps on paper: tie-ins, capacities, and controls.
- Review EPC packages critically.
Nice To Haves
- Gas turbine or recip plant BOP.
- NFPA 54 and 56 depth.
- Water systems.
- Compressed air and nitrogen systems.
Responsibilities
- Engineer mechanical utilities for behind-the-meter plants: fuel gas, water, compressed air, and balance-of-plant systems.
- Design the balance of plant generation depends on: sized, routed, and specified for fast build and long life.
- Integrate utilities across the campus: generation, data center, and site systems as one mechanical design.
- Own vendor and EPC interfaces for utility scope: packages reviewed, gaps caught, field questions answered.
