Requirements

  • Proficient in AutoCAD and SolidWorks
  • Demonstrated expertise in assembly automation, machine integration, and process optimization
  • Skilled in conveyor, material handling, and high-speed automation line design
  • Proficiency in bowl feeder, sensor, and stand part selection (e.g., LM Guide, servo motors)
  • Hands-on experience with jigs, fixtures, and tooling design
  • Strong knowledge of electrical devices (switches, load cells, LVDT's)
  • Proven ability to conceptualize creative solutions for complex requirements
  • Effective team leadership and coordination abilities
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ISO, OSHA, and CE standards compliance
  • Prior exposure to supervising mechanical design projects
  • Vendor management experience
  • Exposure to onsite/offshore team coordination

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing automation systems, including assembly automation and machine integration for process efficiency.
  • Create conveyor systems, material handling equipment, and transfer mechanisms to ensure smooth production flow.
  • Implement pick-and-place solutions using pneumatic, servo, and robotic technologies.
  • Integrate industrial robotic automation for assembly, machine tending, packaging, inspection, and material handling.
  • Design and develop jigs, fixtures, and tooling to support manufacturing, testing, and inspection operations.
  • Select appropriate bowl feeders, sensors, material handling equipment, and specialized machinery parts.
  • Produce detailed working and assembly drawings, bills of materials, and documentation using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
  • Conduct engineering calculations for strength, speed, force, temperature, and pressure relevant to machine and tooling designs.
  • Analyze engineering drawings and specifications for accuracy, material selection, and manufacturability.
  • Ensure designs comply with OSHA, CE, and customer-specific standards.
  • Collaborate with customers, technical staff, vendors, and electrical designers to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Supervise and coordinate a team of 10-12 members, managing project documentation, schedules, and communication with stakeholders.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and ISO protocols.
