Requirements

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks
  • Expertise in assembly automation, machine integration, process optimization
  • Experience with conveyor systems, material handling equipment, SPMs, and transfer mechanisms
  • Skilled in pick-and-place systems, pneumatic, servo, and robotic technologies
  • Competence in bowl feeder selection, high-speed automation line design, sensor selection, material handling equipment, and stand part selection
  • Strong knowledge of electrical devices (switches, load cells, LVDTs, etc.)
  • Ability to conceptualize and create solutions for complex design requirements
  • Team leadership and coordination skills

  • Experience supervising mechanical design projects
  • Familiarity with ISO procedures and health/safety compliance
  • Exposure to customer/vendor communication and multi-disciplinary project teams

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop manufacturing automation systems for assembly, machine integration, and process optimization
  • Create conveyor systems, material handling equipment, and transfer mechanisms to enhance production flow
  • Implement pick-and-place systems utilizing pneumatic, servo, and robotic technologies
  • Integrate industrial robotic automation for assembly, machine tending, packaging, inspection, and material handling
  • Design jigs, fixtures, and specialized tooling for manufacturing, assembly, and inspection processes
  • Perform engineering calculations (strength, speed, horsepower, temperature, pressure, force) for machine and tool designs
  • Produce detailed working and assembly drawings, bills of materials using AutoCAD and SolidWorks
  • Analyze and ensure compliance with OSHA, CE, and customer-specific standards
  • Review drawings for accuracy, material selection, machining techniques, and finishes
  • Liaise with customers, vendors, technical, and engineering staff for technical specifications and project requirements
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to a team of 10–12 members; coordinate with onsite and offshore teams
  • Organize and maintain project documentation, schedules, quotes, and correspondence
  • Communicate progress, time estimates, and resource needs to project managers and directors
  • Review electrical requirements (input/output devices) with electrical designers
