We are seeking an experienced engineer to develop methodologies for characterizing the mechanical and thermal performance of battery materials, components, and cells.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Project Management, Computer Science, or a related discipline OR University degree in a technical, business, or project management-related field. OR MS in Mechanical Eng or related with 3 years’ experience or BS with 5+ years
  • Demonstrated experience developing methodologies for mechanical and thermal characterization of battery materials/components/cells
  • Strong background in battery testing standards and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Develop test methodologies to characterize mechanical and thermal performance of battery materials, components, and cells
  • Design test protocols and standards for battery-level performance evaluation
  • Work with 3rd party labs to address testing gaps and bring up to testing methods
  • Collaborate with testing technicians to ensure proper execution of test plans
  • Analyze and report on test results to inform engineering decisions
