About The Position

Wipro is seeking an experienced engineer to develop methodologies for characterizing the mechanical and thermal performance of battery materials, components, and cells. The role owns protocol development and produces test methodologies, protocols, and standards for battery-level performance evaluation. The engineer works with third-party laboratories to address testing gaps, collaborates with testing technicians to ensure test plans are properly executed, and analyzes and reports results to inform engineering decisions. The role also involves executing and documenting tests: developing and installing test setups in accordance with technical standards, documenting Standard Operating Procedures, preparing samples, performing tests, and recording and reporting results. The position requires an MS in mechanical engineering or a related discipline with three years of experience, or a BS with five or more years of experience, along with demonstrated battery characterization methodology experience and a strong background in battery testing standards and best practices. CAETools is listed as a mandatory skill. The expected compensation range is $60,000 to $140,000, with final compensation dependent on factors including location, skills, and relevant experience. The role is eligible for Wipro's standard benefits, including medical and dental benefit options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), and other paid and unpaid leave options.
