About The Position

CTG is hiring a Mechanical Technician III to support manufacturing engineering projects focused on equipment installation, capacity expansion, and mechanical system optimization. This role is ideal for a hands-on technician with strong troubleshooting expertise and experience in fast-paced production environments.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with equipment installation in a manufacturing environment
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, gear systems, and conveyors
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and CMMS systems
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Nice To Haves

• Startup/commissioning experience
• Experience working with vendors and suppliers
• CAD experience
• Mechanical certifications (Millwright, HVAC, Welding)
• OSHA or safety certifications

Responsibilities

• Lead and support installation, startup, and debugging of manufacturing equipment
• Perform advanced troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of mechanical systems (hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, motors, etc.)
• Align, test, and calibrate equipment post-installation
• Analyze and resolve mechanical/process issues using data and root cause methods
• Implement equipment and process improvements to increase reliability and efficiency
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and vendors to meet project timelines
• Maintain documentation and support training for operations teams
• Manage spare parts identification and inventory coordination
