About The Position

Central State Hospital is seeking a full time Mechanical Technician - HVAC. Work Hours: 6:00am-4:30pm. 10-hour days flex Mon-Fri The Mechanical Technician - HVAC: Inspects, repairs and maintains all HVAC controls, machinery, fixtures and equipment including: electrical controls, refrigerant piping, valves, connections, fittings and couplings, chilled and hot water pumps, air handlers, refrigeration equipment, air compressors and air dryers, thermostats and humidistats on all HVAC equipment, whether pneumatic, electrical or electronic, de-scales tubing, cuts and thread pipe and makes pipe and electrical connections. Performs other duties as assigned to meet the demands of the department including; but not limited to general maintenance: plumbing, carpentry, flooring installation and repair, ceiling tile installation and repair, locksmith and landscaping. Subject to be called in on emergency situations and to work as needed. Seven Counties is the provider of choice for mental and behavior health services in and around the Louisville Metro. Requirements

• Journeyman HVAC License or Associates Degree in HVAC/refrigeration
• Valid Driver's License
• High school diploma or GED
• 3 years experience in automation HVAC controls or Refrigeration repairs
• Knowledge in refrigeration systems or HVAC controls
• Knowledge of plumbing, electric and carpentry

Responsibilities

• De-scales tubing, cuts and thread pipe and makes pipe and electrical connections
• Performs other duties as assigned to meet the demands of the department including; but not limited to general maintenance: plumbing, carpentry, flooring installation and repair, ceiling tile installation and repair, locksmith and landscaping
