About The Position

Employee will assemble parts into assemblies or sub-assemblies direct from blueprints or work orders. This role involves adjusting and fitting parts using hand and power tools to fabricate complex mechanical assemblies to specifications. The position requires inspecting and adjusting completed assemblies to ensure they meet specifications, tolerances, and customer requirements. A strong understanding of metal machining, including turning, milling, shaping, and grinding processes, is essential. The role also involves using precision measurement instruments for complex inspections and suggesting process improvements. The candidate will select appropriate tools, monitor the assembly process, evaluate materials, and identify potential problems. Active participation in New Product Introduction (NPI) is expected, with the ability to make tooling and process suggestions for new products. The role requires using mathematics to solve complex mechanical assembly problems and demands a self-starter attitude.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 6+ years' experience
  • Ability to read and understand complex engineering drawings
  • Verifiable experience using Microsoft Office products.
  • Must be able to read, understand, and complete projects based on blueprints.
  • Experience in metal machining and working knowledge of metal turning/milling/shaping and grinding processes
