About The Position

Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies. This would also include preparing the surfaces of parts, assemblies, and finished products by cleaning, stripping, abrading, sanding, masking and stenciling. Selects and mixes finishing materials. Also performs a variety of duties assisting mechanical engineers in the development of mechanical and electro-mechanical engineering designs, tests, fabrications, modifications, assemblies and components. Fabricates and assembles new or modified mechanical components or assemblies. Assists with analyzing data and recommending modifications to components or test procedure to meet desired specifications. Works from process sheets, diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools and jigs.

Requirements

  • Honorable Discharge from the U.S. Armed Forces or current drilling member of a Reserve/Guard component with a service-connected injury or disability
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year work experience with Electro/Mechanical assembly
  • Must be able to lift 20-30lbs.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience following processes and written instructions
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Must be able to obtain SAP/SAR Clearance
