About The Position

This role involves performing various maintenance tasks on locomotives and rail cars, including lubrication, filter changes, brush replacement, and general repairs. The position also requires knowledge of power and hydraulic tools, crane operation, welding, and torching. The team member will be responsible for maintaining their assigned vehicle, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring a safe and clean work area while adhering to operating and safety procedures. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

Knowledge of power and hydraulic tools.

Nice To Haves

Experienced in welding preferred
Experience in rail car repair preferred

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance which includes adding oil to engine, adding sand and water to engine, lubricating all hinges, replacing all worn dc electric motor brushes within locomotive, changing all filters, adding traction motor grease to motors and removing dirt from electrical cabinets.
Rail Car repairs.
Service crane operation.
Welding and oxygen/acetylene torching.
Maintenance of assigned vehicle.
General repairs of other equipment if necessary.
Trouble shoots and repairs equipment as needed.
Maintain Safe and clean work area.
Observance of Operating and Safety Procedures
Performs other duties as assigned.
