About The Position

The Aircraft Systems team is seeking a highly talented Mechanical Systems and Power First-Line Engineering Manager (Level K) to join the team in Tukwila, WA or San Antonio, TX. In this role, the manager will lead a dynamic team of engineers in the development, validation, verification, integration, and certification of Mechanical Systems and Power Systems. This position will manage a team of engineers working mechanical and power systems which includes but isn’t limited to air stairs, fuels, cargo baggage loader, primary power, and secondary power distribution system. This position requires focus on execution of aircraft build and integration of Systems as the program proceeds into aircraft test. Requirements

Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership”.
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry
Must be able to travel up to 25%
Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Nice To Haves

Experience in the development, integration, and verification of aircraft systems.
2+ years of experience in leadership or management role.
Experience with aircraft build.
Familiarity with engineering processes and methods.
Proven track record managing risks and issues to resolution.
