About The Position

This role involves supporting released products through troubleshooting, root-cause investigations, engineering changes, and continuous improvement projects. The engineer will collaborate with various departments and external partners to resolve technical issues, create and maintain technical documentation, and support product validation and testing. A key aspect of the role is developing and improving manufacturing processes, evaluating new materials and suppliers, and contributing to new product development from concept through introduction. The position also requires participation in design reviews and cross-functional engineering activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
  • At least 2 years of mechanical engineering experience in manufacturing, instrumentation, industrial products, or related environments.
  • Experience with SolidWorks, 3D CAD and engineering drawing creation.
  • Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, machining, fabrication methods, GD&T, tolerancing, inspection techniques, and design-for-manufacturing principles.
  • Deep understanding of tools used for mechanical tolerance checks.
  • Experience supporting tooling, fixtures, test equipment, or production aids.
  • Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems and BOM management.
  • Knowledge of machining, sheet metal, welded assemblies, plastics, sealing methods, or pressure-containing hardware.
  • Experience supporting production environments and engineering change activities.
  • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to create and maintain technical documentation, work instructions, procedures, and illustrated service or manufacturing documents.
  • Versed on Microsoft Office 365 Tools

Nice To Haves

  • At least 5 years of mechanical engineering experience in manufacturing, instrumentation, industrial products, or related environments.
  • Experience with thermal mass flow meters, process instrumentation, gas flow measurement, or industrial sensors.
  • Basic understanding of electronics packaging, sensors, or electromechanical products.
  • Experience with supplier qualification, reliability improvement, or cost-reduction programs.
  • Experience with compliance agencies, internal audits, and external audits.

Responsibilities

  • Support released products through troubleshooting, root-cause investigations, engineering changes, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Work closely with manufacturing, quality, purchasing, suppliers, and production personnel to resolve technical issues.
  • Create and maintain CAD models, engineering drawings, BOMs, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Support product validation, qualification, and reliability testing.
  • Develop and improve fixtures, tooling, assembly methods, inspection methods, and manufacturing processes.
  • Evaluate alternative materials, components, suppliers, and manufacturing methods.
  • Support quality investigations, customer returns, and corrective action activities.
  • Implement engineering changes through established ECO/ECN processes.
  • Participate in product design reviews and cross-functional engineering activities.
  • Contribute to new product development projects, prototype builds, testing, and product introduction activities.
