About The Position

LG Energy Solution Arizona, Inc. is seeking an Engineer I, Environmental & Sustainability to support environmental and sustainability initiatives. This role involves assisting with the identification, evaluation, and control of workplace and environmental risks, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, and supporting the implementation of company EHS standards and programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field required.
  • 0+ years in environmental compliance, EHS, sustainability, or a related field; internship or co-op experience may be considered.
  • Basic knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, environmental practices, or EHS principles.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with environmental permitting, reporting, or programs such as air, wastewater, stormwater, or waste management preferred.
  • Familiarity with ISO 14001 or environmental management systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support environmental compliance activities related to air, waste, wastewater, stormwater, and other applicable environmental programs.
  • Assist with environmental inspections, audits, and routine compliance assessments.
  • Maintain environmental records, reports, permits, and supporting documentation.
  • Support data collection and tracking for environmental performance, regulatory reporting, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Assist with environmental reviews for site projects, operational changes, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Work with internal teams to support compliance with company environmental standards and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Support corrective actions and follow-up activities identified through inspections, audits, or environmental incidents.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
